Carers and Disability Link is excited to welcome a passionate Casual Support Worker to join our team across the Barossa, Lower North and Yorke Peninsula regions.

At CADL, we are committed to providing compassionate and personalised care to individuals in need. With over 30 years of experience, we have earned a reputation as one of the most trusted community care providers in regional South Australia. Our offices are located in Nuriootpa, Woodside, Clare, and Kadina, and we proudly support Carers, people with disability, children and young people, and individuals aged over 65.

About the Role

To be successful in this role, you will need: 

  • A compassionate and proactive approach to care 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills 
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Engaging with clients in our established group programs
  • Providing support in clients’ homes across both NDIS and Aged Care
  • Transporting clients and helping them stay connected with their community

We are looking for individuals who are committed to helping clients reach their goals, build confidence, develop independence, and participate meaningfully in their community.

Requirements:
  • Minimum Certificate III Individual Support or equivalent 
  • Relevant mandatory training, NDIS Screening and Working with Children Check 
  • Experience in NDIS or Aged Care

Carers and Disability Link (CADL) provide Carers, people who are frail and aged and people living with disabilities with care and support services through flexible and inclusive choices within our local communities. We are currently seeking volunteers to assist with our aged care programs.

Volunteers are critical to CADL and the successful functioning of the organisation. The role of a volunteer at CADL connects with the organisation Vision, Mission and Values to create better outcomes for our communities. CADL volunteers create positive experiences for themselves, the community and the organisation.

Position responsibilities

  • Provide assistance to staff in the facilitation of individual and group outings or respite to support clients in a social environment
  • Offer support, encouragement and acceptance
  • Actively promote wellbeing
  • Ensure open and timely communication with the CHSP Coordinator regarding clients
  • Provide administrative assistance and planning of group activities as required.
  • Assist with transport for CHSP clients to attend groups and to planned activities if appropriate

  • Provide direct care, assistance, and support to clients. 
  • Follow individualised care and support plans, including behaviour support strategies. 
  • Assist adults and children living with disability, chronic health conditions, mental health challenges, dementia, the frail and aged to enjoy a respite break in a beautiful location. 
  • Offer social and domestic support. 
  • Provide transport services as required. 
  • Accurately complete documentation and report concerns or incidents in a timely manner.

Requirements 

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check

  • Certificate III or higher in Individual Support, Aged Care, or a related field (highly desirable)

CADL have a community Op Shop located on the Woodside main street that is currently looking for volunteers to join the team. Our Op Shop provides a place for the local community to shop in a warm and friendly environment.

What this role could look like for you:

  • Working as part of a team to provide a welcoming retail environment for the community
  • Providing excellent service to all customers
  • Stock preparation and sorting including cleaning, steaming and pricing garments and other donations
  • Store presentation including tidying and cleaning
  • Point of sale purchases and packing
  • Managing money and the Op Shop float
  • Re-stocking the shop including display and merchandising.
